The rotorcrafts have been made by the expert Iranian engineers of the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company, which is a subsidiary of the Iranian Defense Ministry.

The Tufan helicopter has been designed for offensive operations and is equipped with high-tech Multi-Function Display (MFD), Head-Up Display (HUD), and advanced telecommunications systems.
