ISNR Abu Dhabi is dedicated to homeland security systems

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HH Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan opened yesterday the ISNR (International Security National Resilience) 2010 Exhibition and Conference at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

ISNR Abu Dhabi is dedicated to homeland security systems and services and is of particular interest to governments as well as the private sector in the region.

In a statement made on this occasion, Sheikh Saif stressed the importance of enhancing global security cooperation and urged effective coordination between Police agencies in the region and the rest of the world to counter new forms of crimes in the modern world.

He said that UAE, in its quest to implement the directives of the supreme leadership, has been keen on keeping pace with global developments so as to enhance efforts to counter contemporary challenges of crime.

He added: "The world continues to face new forms of organised crime emanating from the repercussions of globalisation, economic openness, and information and communication revolution. Other forms of criminal phenomena such as the electronic and cross-border crimes and organised terrorism are also emerging".

"We in the UAE, in line with the directives of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, worked to develop a vision and a clear and well-phased strategy according to scientific methods to keep pace with global developments in order to counter crime through the use of the modern technology. This is to achieve the aspirations and confidence of the homeland and citizens through the development of the most effective security agencies on the ground in one of the fastest growing countries in the world. The sublime principles and ideals, integrity and transparency is always emphasised and attention is given to the human element". Sheikh Saif Added.

Sheikh Saif cut the traditional ribbon marking the inauguration in the presence of Omani Interior Minister Saud Bin Ibrahim Al-Busaidi, Sudanese Minister of Interior Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, Undersecretary of Bahrain's Ministry of Interior Brig. Tariq Mubarak Bin Deinah, a number of diplomats and participants.

Accompanied by Minister of Justice Dr. Hadef Bin Jouan Al Dhahiri and a number of senior state officials, Sheikh Saif toured the exhibition halls and interacted with participants at the show.

ISNR Abu Dhabi has attracted strong participation from governments in the region and the global security industry.
